What Is Cold Laser Therapy?

Cold laser therapy for pets

Cold laser therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy or photobiomodulation, uses targeted wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular activity and support the body’s natural healing processes.

The treatment is gentle, non-invasive, and well tolerated by most animals. Laser energy penetrates the tissues without producing significant heat, helping support circulation, cellular repair, and recovery.

How Cold Laser Therapy May Help

Supports Healing

Helps support normal cellular repair and tissue recovery.

Reduces Inflammation

May help decrease inflammation associated with injury or overuse.

Promotes Comfort

Can provide additional support for pets experiencing musculoskeletal discomfort.

Supports Mobility

May complement chiropractic care for pets with decreased mobility or stiffness.

Encourages Circulation

Supports local circulation to tissues being treated.

Non-Invasive & Gentle

No needles, sedation, or downtime are required.

What to Expect

Cold laser sessions are quick and comfortable. A handheld laser is applied directly over the area being treated while your pet relaxes.

Treatment time varies depending on the area and your pet’s individual needs. Cold laser therapy may be used alongside chiropractic care as part of a personalized treatment plan.

Most pets tolerate treatment extremely well—and many simply relax during their session.

Could Cold Laser Therapy Help Your Pet?

Cold laser therapy can be a valuable addition to chiropractic care for pets recovering from injury, experiencing stiffness or mobility changes, or needing additional support during recovery.
